Babel hits the crossbar
In yesterdays Carling Cup match against Leeds, Ryan Babel had a shot on goal from just inside the area that hit the crossbar, in a match where Leeds showed to be a tough challenge.

In yesterdays Carling Cup third-round match at a full packed Elland Road in Leeds it took Liverpool 66 minutes to find the goal. David Ngog produced a clinical finish to help the Reds to victory.

Leeds showed to be a tough challenge with their good form after 15 league home wins on the trot and they gave the Liverpool players a game to the finish.

But as only Liverpool was able to score the result ended with a 1-0 win for the Reds.

Just before time Ryan Babel had a shot on goal from just inside the area that hit the crossbar and after a good working performance throughout the game he was substituted with Martin Skrtel in the 90th minute. A time where Rafael Benitez wanted to secure the win.
